Use Start Instant Session when you need to create and begin a session that was not already scheduled.

Before you begin

Make sure the client or student, service, and location already exist in iSpeax. Confirm that you are ready to begin the session before saving because saving starts the session and adds it to the calendar.

Create the session

1. Open My Day.
2. Under Quick Actions, select Start Instant Session.
3. Under Service, choose the service you are providing.
4. Under Invitees, choose the client or student for the session.
5. Choose the session location.
6. Add a description when it will help identify the session later.
7. Review the date, start time, end time, and duration.
8. Leave Repeat set to None for a one-time session.
9. Check the client or student, service, location, and time again.
10. Select Save Changes.

iSpeax displays Session Started and adds a Quick Session to the calendar.

Check the new session

Confirm that the Quick Session appears on the correct date and time. Open it and check the client or student, service, location, and duration before recording any information.

Continue the session

The session opens in Session Details. Complete the session from that page:

1. Select the goals you plan to address.
2. Record each response as Correct, Incorrect, or Prompt as appropriate.
3. Add the session note. If you generate a draft, review and correct it before continuing.
4. Select Finish when the session is complete.
5. Choose the session outcome and review the attendance, goal summaries, session note, service, payment status, session fee, and billing code.
6. Save the completed session.

If the session details are wrong

If you notice an incorrect client or student, service, location, or time before saving, correct the field and review the form again. If the session has already started, do not record goals, responses, notes, or billing information for the wrong profile. Return to the sessions list and follow your organization's process for correcting or removing the session.
